Ofsted Report

Ofsted Update :

On the 21st October our school was revisited by Ofsted, HMI.  The only judgement the Ofsted inspectors pass at this inspection is whether the school leaders are taking effective action to improve the school to become good at the next full inspection.

We are pleased to announce that we were judged to be taking effective action and are making good progress to being at least good at the next full inspection, which is likely to take place in the summer term 2017.

Our school was inspected on the 16th April 2015. At the time of our inspection we were rated `requires improvement´.

A school judged as `requires improvement´ will be subject to monitoring from inspectors to check the schools progress and will be inspected within a period of 2 years.

5 years ago Ofsted inspectors judged our school to be `good´ . Against the new Ofsted framework, this is now not enough and we must now work hard to provide each and every child at Harden Primary School with the best education to ensure we challenge their learning and help them to make the progress expected of them.

Ofsted says the school has the following strengths …..

star The Headteacher has put good systems in place to improve the school, which are starting to improve both teaching and achievement.
star Pupils feel safe and secure in a caring environment.
star Pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding is promoted well because the school focuses equally on developing them all.
star Pupils’ behave well in lessons and round the school.   They like learning.
